Elisabeth's Baptism

Baptism~ John 3:5 "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Dressed in white, waiting to get started.

Just before entering the waters of baptism. Elisabeth was a little nervous. Just before she joined her Dad in the water, she began to cry. I asked her what was wrong and she relpied, "nothing, I don't know why I'm crying." I asked her if she could feel the Holy Spirit and she said, "yes I know being baptized is good." What a sweet moment where my little one was overwhelmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit, testifying to her, that what she was doing was good.

As soon as Elisabeth came out of the water, I wrapped her in a big white towel and asked her how she felt. She said, "Mom, that felt so good, I wish I could do it again." Sweet! The baptism program was very spiritual, many tears of joy were shed. We had many of our friends and family join us to support Elisabeth's decision to be baptized, we are grateful for each of them.

I am so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the many blessings it provides to me and my family. Today I am especially grateful for the ordinance of Baptism, that puts our family one step closer to being the Eternal Family we are striving each day to be.

Wow the whole family is now Baptized, I still remember that cold Christmas morning in ’94 when your were baptized. Next step is Temple, Missions and Weddings... are we getting old fast or are the kids just growing up?

That is so wonderful, Danelle! I am happy for you all and Elisabeth, also, for her decision to be baptized.
